Retail Start-Ups Offered Helping Hand via PopUp Store
Posted on 13th August 2013
Retail entrepreneurs within London are being given a helping hand over the next six weeks, after a store in one of Britain’s prestigious shopping areas was donated to PopUp Britain.
Previously, PopUp Britain, which is the retail arm of StartUp Britain, has – with the help of funding from the private sector – opened stores in Surrey and Gloucestershire, as well as several around London.
Now, the latest store, which opened in Piccadilly today (August 12th) and will remain open for the next six weeks, is set to offer roughly sixty retail start-ups a week long opportunity to sell their products in what is considered to be one of the world’s most recognisable thoroughfares.
In addition to offering the retail start-ups the opportunity to showcase and sell their products via the pop-up store, the initiative enables the start-ups the opportunity to meet their customers face-to-face, and gain valuable customer insight.
Over the six weeks which the store is set to remain open, the theme for the pop-up store will change on a weekly basis, with the first week’s concept centring on ‘Made in Britain’.
Whilst retail start-ups are being offered the opportunity to gain valuable experience, with the help of pop-up stores throughout London and other areas of the UK; for other start-ups who are just beginning on their journey, and who require tailored accountancy, taxation and business advice, our team are able to help.
Through our experience within the business and start-up sector, we are able to offer a range of advice, which will enable start-ups make the most out of their finances, whilst also achieving the growth they require.
